Hello again! Today I am sharing a little kitchen inspiration with you. Let's jump right in!
As of late I have been occupying myself with slowly decorating our new-ish apartment. My fiancé and I made a major move last June and as we were both fresh out of college, our place was decorated in what I like to call "dorm-room chic": filled with mis-matched, hand-me-downs from various family members and friends. Although we are eternally grateful for the gifts (without which we would have been sitting on the floor, staring at the wall and eating off of paper plates for the past 7 months), we have been steadily trying to exchange them for pieces that better suit our style. Our budget is small, so the process is slow and involves a lot of re-purposing and searching out thrifty finds. We like to splurge on staple items, (that we plan to have for years to come) and then find ways to save money on trendier pieces and accessories. In order to inspire myself to tackle the kitchen, I put together this little inspiration board filled with things I am currently loving. I have been all about basic white pieces, bright pops of color and vintage-style accessories. My favorite colors as of late have been anything on the spectrum between lime and turquoise, accented with pops of juicy tangerine and coral. Can you tell that I am ready for spring? Listed below are links for all the items pictured above.
1. Latte Bowls
2. Dualit 4-Slice Toaster
3. Orange Stitch Oven Mitt
4. Rolling Cart
5. White 4-piece Place Setting
6. Fish Bowl with Gold Detailing
7. Retro Coffee, Sugar and Tea Canisters
8. White Bar Stools

It's just so hard to get rid of some of those dorm-room chic decor items in general. I still don't want to get rid of my old snowboarding poster, even though it'll stay tucked away, shuffled from one closet to the next with each big move.
ReplyDeleteAs far as home decor, I have been going crazy over prints and posters with a minimalist touch.
